Richard Greenberg's play works like a two-sided mirror: three adult children gather for the reading of their parents' will in act one, then the action flips to 1960 to show us the architects and the woman who came between them — the same three actors, different generation, different everything. Anna D. Shapiro, who won a Tony for *August: Osage County*, directs, at the Longacre, opening March 1, 2027.

The play has often been called Stoppardian — the structure is that clever, the language that exact — but the feeling in the room is warmer than that label suggests. It rewards people who like theatre that asks something of them: an enigmatic diary entry anchors the first half, and the second half goes back to reveal what it actually meant. We haven't reviewed this production yet; it hasn't opened.

Wondering whether the Longacre suits this kind of play, how the casting compares to the 2006 production, or what else is worth weighing it against this season?
