Terms of Service
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms cover your use of EyeOnBroadway. They are short because they are meant to be read. Using the site means you accept them.
What this is
EyeOnBroadway publishes theatre reviews written and recorded by real people, scored against published criteria, with the reasoning shown. An AI Host helps reviewers turn what they said into structured scores and helps readers find shows. The Host assists; it does not invent opinions, and every score traces back to a sentence a reviewer actually said or wrote.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has them. One person, one account. You must be 13 or older to make one.
We may suspend or close an account that is used to harass people, to publish reviews of shows the reviewer did not attend, to impersonate someone, or to break these terms. We will tell you why.
What you publish
Your work stays yours. You keep ownership of everything you write, record and upload. By publishing it here you give us permission to host it, show it, transcribe it, edit it into the formats the platform produces, and — where you or an administrator chooses — publish it to a connected YouTube channel. That permission lasts while the review is published and exists so the platform can function.
You are telling us that the work is yours to give: that you made it, that you have the rights to any footage or images in it, and that publishing it breaks no agreement you are under.
Review the show, not the people. Criticism can be as harsh as the work deserves. Abuse aimed at a performer as a person is a different thing, and we remove it.
Reviews and honesty
Do not review a show you did not see. Do not accept payment, tickets or anything else in exchange for a particular verdict — if a producer gave you a ticket, say so in the review. Do not use another person’s words as your own.
Scores and aggregate figures on this site are opinions, including the ones our own arithmetic derives. They are not statements of fact about a production.
Connecting a YouTube channel
If you connect a channel, you are authorising us to upload your review videos to it, set their thumbnails, and organise them into playlists. We will not post anything to your channel that is not your own review content.
Whether a review also appears on the EyeOnBroadway channel is a separate decision that an administrator makes. Publishing on this site does not put you on our channel, and being declined there does not affect your review here.
Disconnect at any time from your account page, or revoke our access from your Google Account. Videos already on your channel are yours.
Our content
The site’s design, the Host, the scoring framework and the artwork we generate are ours. Show titles, posters and production imagery belong to their rights holders and appear here to identify the work being reviewed.
Paid membership
Some features are or will be paid. Prices and what each tier includes are shown before you pay. Reviewers in the founding cohort keep lifetime free membership on the terms advertised when they qualified. If we change what a paid tier includes, we will tell subscribers before the change takes effect.
Availability and liability
We run this carefully but we do not promise the site will always be available or error-free. It is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and contact
If these terms change we will update the date above and, where the change matters, tell account holders. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
